Ab Rocker | Consumer Warning

Ab Rocker

Do you enjoy wasting your money on products that break easily, don’t work and will end up in your next garage sale? If so, then the Ab Rocker is a great product for you! Ok… So of course you don’t like wasting your money on this kind of crap, so don’t buy the Body By Jake Ab Rocker. It’s pure junk.

This product is supposed to tighten your abs by sitting on the platform, holding onto the handles and moving your torso forwards and backwards using your abs. They really didn’t think this thing through. I thought the Ab Rocket was bad, oh boy it doesn’t come close to being as bad as the Ab Rocker.

When this hunk of junk first came out, many consumers complained about low back pain. Gee I wonder why that is? Maybe it’s because there’s no back rest. I really get bothered when I see these infomercial product scams because it’s so blatantly obvious this junk was developed by an engineer and not an actual fitness professional, personal trainer, or any other industry pro. Just some guy that had a “good idea.” Well this junk is certainly no good idea.

In fact, no major retailer even sells Ab Rocker anymore. You have to literally scour the internet just to find a decently viewable stock photo of this thing. And as far as buying it? You can pretty much forget about that too. No major online retailer sells it either. Just about the only thing you can get are replacement bands.

Have you thought about how strange that is? Hmm, well let’s think about this for a sec… This machine (if you even want to call it that) works with resistance bands to make the exercise more or less difficult. If the bands break, wouldn’t that be kind of dangerous? Can you imagine how painful it would feel if one of these 1 inch thick resistance bands snapped and popped you in the back. OUCH! Actually, Ouch + Lawsuit.

I don’t believe in these infomercial products and you can tell if you read my other reviews. I’m really more hands on into educating myself about how health and fitness really works. You can do 1000’s of crunches a day, but that won’t get you 6-pack abs if your diet isn’t right on par or if you’re not changing your abdominal workout routine regularly and with the most effective exercises.

The Truth About Abs is perhaps the best book I’ve read specifically tailored to abdominal training and it’s written by a personal trainer not some “engineer” moron who has no experience in health and fitness training.
